ABORTION PILLS
Virginia Women's Wellness offers abortion pills, also called a medical abortion, a nonsurgical abortion, or a medication abortion, which is a multi-medication process as simple as swallowing pills. For more information about medication abortion, click here.
IN-OFFICE ABORTION PROCEDURES
Virginia Women's Wellness offers in-office abortion procedures. You can be awake or asleep during the procedure. This is also known as an aspiration or surgical abortion (even though there is no "surgery" involved). This is a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes to perform. This procedure is very effective and allows you to complete your abortion during a simple, short, in-office procedure. It's all done in our office and you can return home not pregnant. ACCOMPANIMENT BY A FAMILY MEMBER OR A TRUSTED FRIEND
Many people find medical procedures overwhelming and would prefer to not be alone. We are happy to allow a family member or friend to accompany you as an additional service.
ABORTION DOULAS
We offer the help, support, companionship, and skills of an Abortion Doula to help patients through the abortion process.
COMBINED ABORTION AND DEPO-PROVERA INJECTION
For patients who want to take immediate action to prevent becoming pregnant again after the abortion, we offer a combined service of abortion and simultaneous Depo-Provera injection. Depo-Provera is an injectable medication that is a semi-long-acting reversible form of contraception that lasts for three months.
